Zero Tolerance

All NHS staff should be able to come to work without fear of violence, abuse or harassment from patients or their relatives. In most cases, patients and their relatives will be appreciative towards those who treat them but a minority of people are abusive or violent towards staff.

Where staff feel threatened or harassed or patients have been physically or verbally abusive, we will follow our Zero Tolerance Policy and write to patients. Incidents may result in removal from the practice list.

Please see our Zero Tolerance Policy for more information.

If your query is non-urgent, please visit and use the symptom checker for further advice on self-care and how to get the right help. If you are experiencing severe chest pains, breathing difficulties or require urgent medical attention, call 999. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
